جزيره صاي تقع جزيرة صاي شمال السودان في منطقة السكوت . المساحه:- تعتبر ثاني اكبر جزيرة في السودان ؛ مساحتها 445كلم ويبلغ طولها 12 كلم وعرضها 4.5 كلم . حيث يلتقي على أراضيه نهر النيل الأبيض والنيل الأزرق لذلك تعتبر من أخصب الأراضي الزراعية في الوطن العربي. تسمية جزيرة الصاي:- صاي في اللغة النوبية تعني مخزن حيث كانت تُستخدم كمخزن للبلح. وتشتهر بأسم جزيرة المعلمين نسباً لكثرة المعلمين حيث نسبة الأمية فيها صفر. أبرز آثارها التاريخية:- القلعة العثمانية الكبيرة المعابد التي تعود إلى عهد الفراعنة المصريين المعابد التي ترجع إلى عهد حضارة كرمة ودولة نوباتيا المسيحية أقام الفراعنة فيها عدة من :- إهرامات على الشاطئ الشرقي للجزيرة المقابر التي تعود للحقبة الكوشية ( حضارة مروي) تعمل بها بعثة فرنسيه للتنقيب عن الآثار منذ 1904 وعثرت على ما يفيد بوجود تواجد بشري على أرضها منذ 215000 سنة، تم الحصول علي مجموعة ضخمة من الأوابد اللُّقى المعابد القديمة المقابر التي يعود تاريخها إلى عهد حضارة (دولة كرمة ودولة نوباتيا) . قلعة ضخمة حصينة ( تعود إلى الدولة المصريّة الحديثة) التي كانت قائمةً بين عامي ألف وخمسمئة وخمسين إلى عام ألف وثمانين ما قبل الميلاد. ونتيجة هذه الآثار القديمة أصبحت الجزيرة مقصداً للتنقيب وإكتشاف آثار الحضارات التي سكنتها. الشخصيات المهمة التي أنشئت في جزيرة الصاي:- ١- الشاعر خليل فرح ٢-الفنان محمد وردي ٣-البروفيسور الفيزيائي جلال عبد الله والطبيب ٤-الجراح ذو الشهرة العالميّة سعيد كيلاني وغيرهم
